So, we have a student blog for fall courses

I'm running a student blog using the typepad service. The main point there is that typepad removes 99% of my administrative burden. No more comment management. No more server management.

Yet, I'm getting adequate customization, and typepad allows each author to integrate in with their own social media like Facebook and Twitter.

I strongly considered blogger for this task, but its author management facilities are lacking. You cannot even list all the posts by a particular author. Google has great technology and APIs, but for all but the simplest things, they often miss key management aspects.

In the end, I think blogger blogs are best left to algorithmically generated content.
