The Michigan Innovators Case Study

This is a case study on how we are using Google AdWords in our non-profit, Michigan Innovators. I have to say, I appreciate the zeal of one person who already commented on this as a test post. It tells me I'm really on to something. People are looking for .org case studies, or for the uninitiated "nonprofit case studies". Fair enough. I sensed that need also.

Basically, I think the main challenge nonprofits face when encountering the world of AdWords is figuring out how it ties to their business model, or in their words, their mission. If they don't see that, two bad things happen:

  1. They fail to create web sites that actually capitalize on visibility they might get from AdWords.
  2. They ultimately abandon effort on AdWords because they have other fish to fry that will do them some good.

This is great stuff Bud! It's nice to see a .org making use of it. I can't wait to read the forthcoming case studies!

Nicholas, I forgot to turn off publishing this to my feed which in turn blasted it out to north of a thousand people. The fact that you dropped a comment made me decide to re-edit the original vs. starting afresh.

For the record, I was trying to figure out the best way to embed Youtube videos in my blog.

Everyone in the marketing world seems to be a 'Social Media Expert' anymore, but those who can quantify their expertise are still pretty rare. Michigan Innovators, with its AdWords grant and reach is in a unique position to offer some very valuable case studies. I think any 'Social Media Expert' should pay close attention and can learn much from your published results. Sorry to turn your test into more work for you, but I'm glad I did.
